Political analyst Muhammad Attar Javad: The West is accused of waging a proxy war through Ukraine, but it has failed to achieve its strategic objectives.

Despite Russia’s successes and achievements as shown by statistics, figures, and growth rates that European and Asian countries; except for the People’s Republic of China; have not reached, the propaganda campaigns against it have not stopped; rather, they have intensified recently, particularly with the elections in which President Putin deservedly won.

Despite the Western hostile policy towards Moscow’s peaceful and anti-war project, it has worked hard to achieve significant accomplishments and honor the country to honorable global ranks. It is the first in Europe economically and the fifth globally after China, the United States, India, and Japan.

Muhammad Attar Javad, a Pakistani political analyst, stated in an interview with Strategia News that President Vladimir Putin’s reelection was deserved and his popularity is widespread in his country, as proven by his success despite recent Western campaigns against him. He pointed out that the West used Ukraine to recruit mercenaries and launch attacks inside Russia and neighboring countries.

He spoke about the Western double standards and aggressive tactics to attack Moscow and undermine its national security, noting that thanks to its positive policies and image, Russia has made progress in its economy and has become one of the leading nations in the world.

The Russian president had previously stated that the Russian growth rate by the end of 2023 could exceed 3.5%. Despite the pressures, Russia has surpassed Germany and become the leading economy in Europe and the fifth in the world.

Q: Recently, the Russian presidential elections were the center of media attention, President Putin won again. These elections were criticized by the West, accusing them of being rigged. What is your interpretation of these elections ?

A: First of all we should interpret what credibility West has to criticize Russia’s presidential elections. I would say they have “none”. The reason being double standards and deceptive approach of the West towards Russia. People voted at their will to elect President Putin again because he has delivered for his people. By upgrading their living standard and flourishing of small medium businesses despite horrible and inhuman Western sanctions.

The most important reason that Russian people support and idealize President Putin because he not only restored the pride and international stature of Russia as a superpower but also providing remarkable support to human aspect of all nationalities. Even when Europe stopped buying Russian gas, the argument was why the European nations are contributing to price hike. That is, instead of buying cheaper Russian gas, they were deviated to more than double if the price.

This interprets that it’s the first time after many decades that the West is facing a global leader who can say NO to West with dignity and honor. So frankly the western interpretation makes no sense and Carries no value. Only in the Muslim world President Putin has earned great respect when it comes to defending the Muslims views against blasphemy or disrespect to their religious figures.

For me it’s the right of the Russian people to elect their leader not the mandate of western governments and western opinion makers.

Q: Why is Moscow accused of rigging elections and attacked by the West, even to the extent of American condemnation, especially in elections where Washington has no involvement?

A: Well, this view is falsification of fact. President Putin went into election with great economic and political results. Despite all the propaganda, and accusation of rigging, it’s the people of Russia who made the decision to elect President Putin and we shouldn’t forget that the sanctions were hitting hard when President Putin pulled its nation forward and toward progress.

Q: Has the Russian-Ukrainian war affected the situation in Russia politically and economically?

A: Of course any war situation is not easy and would never bring positive results but in the case of Ukraine, it’s the West especially the US into blame for creating a war situation before the war. Basically, the expansion of NATO toward East, a notion which Russia always oppose, has been the fundamental reason. NATO has been arming Ukraine and neighboring countries to spread  instability in the wider region and to control the flow of natural resources and sea links and strategically encircle Russia. Economically Russia has progressed, and is remarkably contributing economies of neighboring countries, and it all happens to due to positive policies and image of Russia. It’s my hope that sanity prevails and the West stop wasting billions of dollars. Moreover. The West has used Ukraine recruit mercenaries and attack inside Russia and in neighboring countries. In a real sense the West is conducting a proxy war through Ukraine but failed to achieve its strategic objectives.

Q: Moscow has been targeted and attacked by extremist organizations that claimed responsibility for it. Is this attack related to Russia’s recent stances regarding the international situation, its criticism of the West, and the war with Ukraine?

A: President Putin in his address to the nation clearly stated that the terrorist sttack in Moscow has all the hallmarks of Ukraine’s involvement. The West has created a syndicate of international terrorist organizations to launch an asymmetric warfare against the people of Russia. It’s very alarming because the global peace us at risk and West must stop the policy of aggression.
